January

Dear Friends and Family,
We hope you had a wonderful 2008. We sure did! This year started out with the amazing arrival of our surprise baby. McKenna Naomi Ullery was born January 3rd and immediately made our little family fall in love with her. She is an amazingly sweet baby. By far she was our best sleeper. She has always loved being around her siblings and having them hold her. We feel so blessed to have all of our children.

We started the month with a new life and ended the month with a death. President Hinckley passed away on the day we first took McKenna to church. Gracie still prays that someday she can see President Hinckley again and that he can live again. He was an amazing man and has been missed.

February

February is a fun month in our house. It is the month Bob and I got engaged, it is my Grandma's birthday, and it is the month we first became parents. Gracie turned 4 this year and immediately turned into a little adult. She is so grown up and loves trying new things. She definitely keeps us on our toes. For her birthday she had her first party. It was Scooby Doo themed of course. She loves action figures , Scooby Doo, and all things boys. Well, maybe not all things. She hates spiders and bugs. Lately she has started to like princess stuff a little more. Anyway, she had a great birthday and we had a wonderful month filled with love.

March part 1

McKenna Naomi Ullery was blessed on March 16th, Palm Sunday. It was a wonderful day filled with family and friends. We are so grateful for our sweet little McKenna (or Kenna as the kids call her.)

March

We love celebrating holidays at our house. We had a ton of fun making an all green dinner for St. Patrick's Day and making sure everyone had on green. We also enjoyed celebrating Easter this year in March. We went to three Easter Egg Hunts. The kids loved learning about the true meaning of Easter. Gracie often thanks Heavenly Father for Jesus in her prayers.

The kids also had fun visiting the Bean Life Science Museum with Gracie's preschool and spending time with friends and family.
There is also a bonus picture of McKenna in one of Gracie's old outfits. They really could have been twins.

April and May

April started out as a fun month. We went to my parents cabin in Wales and enjoyed being outside, being together, and watching Conference. The kids liked being pulled by their horse, Daddy.

The most wonderful thing that happened in April was that Bob graduated from UVSC with two Associate Degrees and a Bachelors degree in Aviation Science. What a wonderful blessing to be done with school and moving on to the next stage of our lives. We were so proud of Bob that we made each of the kids their own graduation outfit (Thanks to our neighbor Jan!) They wore them to show how hard Daddy had worked to get to this point. He went to school full time and worked full time for four years so I could stay home with our kids. After having three kids while in school I think he deserves a medal!

The other wonderful event that took place this month was the temple work we did. While Bob's family was visiting for his graduation we were able to have his father sealed to Bob's grandparents. It was such a wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone who helped us out that day so we could make this happen.

As for May, we spent our time working on the yard and house to get ready for all the events in June.
